Our Process

    How We Work With You

From a 20-minute conversation to working AI systems. Every stage is delivered by Brian Egan and our senior team directly — no junior developers, no outsourcing. You can stop at any stage and still walk away with something valuable. No lock-ins, no pressure to continue.

An AI consulting process is a structured way to identify where AI can improve your business, prioritise the best opportunities, and implement the right solution — whether that's custom software, automation, or a simpler process change. If you're not sure where to start with AI, this is the process.

Deep Purple's 4-step AI consulting process: Discovery, Strategy and Roadmap, Build and Deliver, Support and Grow — a structured engagement model for Irish and UK businesses.

    1–3 weeks

It starts with a 20-minute intro call — no pitch, just a conversation about your business and what you're trying to achieve. If there's a fit, we run 1–2 structured workshops at your premises. We map your processes, talk to your team, and identify where AI, data analytics, or automation could make a genuine commercial difference.

What you get: A clear assessment of your highest-value AI opportunities, with estimated impact for each — e.g. process workflow map, top 5 opportunities with estimated ROI.

Investment: The intro call is free. Discovery workshops are typically €3,000–€5,000. Eligible Irish businesses can access grant funding that can significantly reduce this cost.

Your time: ~4 hours across 1–2 workshops

    2–4 weeks

We take the discovery findings and build a comprehensive, prioritised roadmap. Each opportunity is scored by commercial impact, technical feasibility, and estimated ROI. We recommend what to do first, what to defer, and what's not worth doing. If AI isn't the right answer for something, we'll say so.

What you get: A detailed implementation plan with timelines, costs, expected results, and a recommended sequence — a document you can take to your board or use to brief other providers if you choose. E.g. prioritised roadmap, cost/ROI analysis per opportunity, recommended build sequence.

Investment: €4,000–€9,000 in addition to Discovery. Grant funding is available for eligible businesses and can reduce this significantly.

Your time: ~2 hours for review and feedback

2–6 months depending on project scope

Our senior team handles the full AI implementation — custom AI software, data analytics dashboards, predictive models, process automation, or intelligent integrations with your existing software (ERP, CRM, etc.). We design, build, and deploy in iterations, keeping you involved throughout so there are no surprises.

What you get: Production-ready systems deployed in your business, with documentation and training for your team — e.g. AI-powered quoting systems, predictive quality dashboards, automated document processing.

Investment: €25,000–€120,000 depending on scope and complexity. Many projects qualify for grant funding that covers 50% or more of the cost.

Your time: ~2–4 hours per fortnight for reviews

    Ongoing

After deployment, we stay with you. We monitor system performance, handle issues, and run quarterly reviews to identify new opportunities as your business evolves and as AI capabilities advance. Many clients find that once the first system proves its value, the roadmap naturally expands.

What you get: Ongoing fractional AI leadership — a senior AI partner who knows your business, without the cost of a full-time hire. Includes quarterly roadmap reviews, system performance reports, and new opportunity identification.

    Investment: €1,500–€3,000/month. No minimum term.

Your time: ~1 hour per quarter for roadmap reviews

Every stage has a clear deliverable. You can pause after Discovery with a valuable assessment in hand. You can stop after Strategy with a roadmap you own. There are no lock-ins and no obligation to continue to the next stage. We earn the next step by delivering value in the current one. Most clients choose to continue once they see the results of each stage.

Many of our Irish clients access government grant programmes that cover 50–80% of project costs. We're an Enterprise Ireland approved consultant and LEO Digital for Business provider, and we can guide you through the application process. Grants are available for Discovery, Strategy, and Build stages. Not every business qualifies, and not every project needs grant funding — the process works the same either way.

Deep Purple works with established businesses — typically 10 or more employees — across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK. Our process works best for:

Businesses with manual processes that take too long
Companies sitting on years of data they can't easily use
Organisations where competitors are automating faster
Teams struggling to hire for repetitive back-office roles
Businesses that want AI but don't know where to start
Companies that have tried AI before and it didn't deliver

If you're a startup looking for a technical co-founder, or a company with fewer than 10 employees, we're probably not the right fit — but we're happy to point you in the right direction.

A 20-minute call to understand your business and explore whether AI could help. No pitch. No obligation.
